Steel design from A to Z is the motto of the new version 2.0 of SolidSteel parametric for SOLIDWORKS. With the new release you have the possibility to do all the processes of the steel design semi or full automatic.
Bills of material are an important following process for steel design. Many typical steel design BOM’s are not possible to create by using the standard functions of SOLIDWORKS.
SolidSteel parametric is an add on to SOLIDWORKS and extends the 3D CAD system with many functions for structural steel design. The software is integrated into SOLIDWORKS by 100%. This is an good easement for the design process. In delivery there are huge profile libraries, libraries for the steel connections like end plates and clip angles according to DAST. Of cause all the libraries can be extended.
