STAHL 2000 Updates

STAHL 2000 - Software update
New features and improvements in Crane Girder EC and 2D Framework EC

The latest update to STAHL 2000 includes specific adjustments to improve data consistency, numerical representation, and user guidance.
In particular, the input and output functions in the 2D Framework EC area have been further refined to ensure reliable mapping of the systems to be calculated.

The main technical changes are summarized below.

Crane Girder EC v9.0.3

The selection of the program language now also controls the language of the documentation that is opened.
If the user interface is in English, the English manual is loaded automatically.

2D Framework EC v7.0.3

Correct transfer of user-defined material parameters
User-defined materials are retained in full after saving and reloading a position. Unintentional resetting to the default material S 235 no longer occurs, meaning that material properties remain consistent in calculations and output.

Standard-compliant and more readable output of the Young's modulus
Young's modulus is now displayed in decimal notation and in the unit N/mm². This improves readability and reduces interpretation errors compared to the previous scientific notation.

Increased accuracy for geometric input data
Geometry data for nodes and member starts and ends are now displayed with three decimal places when loading saved positions. This correctly reflects the accuracy originally entered (mm resolution).

Clear unit specification for user-defined modulus of elasticity
In the input dialog for user-defined materials, the unit of the Young's modulus is displayed directly in the input field, which supports the clear definition of material properties.

Changelog

Crane Girder EC v9.03

  • The English manual will now open when the language is set to English (previously always the German one).

2D Framework EC v7.03

  • The entry of user-defined material was discarded after saving and loading a position, and S 235 was assumed (visible in the output).

  • The degrees of freedom of system nodes are represented in floating point numbers instead of scientific notation

  • The material constant (Young's modulus) is no longer displayed in scientific notation, e.g., 2.1E+08 kN/m^2, but in decimal notation and in N/mm^2 (210000 N/mm^2).

  • The input of the system (the lengths and heights of the nodes, or member start and member end) allows any number of decimal places in principle. When loading a position, these were rounded to 2 decimal places (cm). Now 3 decimal places are displayed (mm).

  • The unit is now displayed behind the input field for the Young's modulus for user-defined materials.
