Well planned is half done. This applies to the designing of welds just as it does to all other aspects of life. With SolidWeld for Creo Elements/Direct, weld design is easy and you create welds directly in the 3D model. In addition to all conceivable types of welds (according to standards or simply "practical"), the automatically generated weld list with e.g. weld volume, length, weight, etc. has not been forgotten.
In just a few steps, the finished 3D planning is turned into 2D drawings for the metal workshop, in which you can enter labels including the appropriate welding symbols using the tool provided for this purpose.

In the video, we show in just 12 minutes how easy and practical it is to use SolidWeld. Using a practical example, we show many different ways of placing weld seams with or without weld seam preparation in the 3D model. You will see that such a digital twin of the later product is made possible. This has decisive advantages for previous mass determination, but the greatest advantage lies in the area of simulations - because a prototype is always more expensive than a simulation.
