Discover the new version 2.0

With the new version 2.0 of the AluFrame Assistant some already existing features were improved and new features were added. In addition to a visual improvement the main focus of this update was placed on networked working. With the new version you get the possibility to store learned connections in a central database and share them with other users.

The improvements coming with the AluFrame Assistant 2.0 are among others:

New features in detail

Sharing connections in the network

With the new version it is possible to share learned connections between different computers in the network.

For this purpose a centrally accessible folder has to be created, which can be accessed by all participating computers.
The distribution and downloading can be done automatically or manually, depending on the settings.

Visual Improvement

All menu bar icons in the AluFrame Assistant have been reworked, now blend in much more comfortably with the rest of the SOLIDWORKS look, support dark mode and have been arranged more intuitively.

There is a new dialog in which connections and parts can be listed and deleted.

End caps and cuts

As a new feature in the End Caps tool, the possibility to include extruded cuts has been implemented.

Improvements and bug fixes:

Improved error messages about several possible problems that can occur when inserting connections.
Model view is no longer unintentionally aligned to cut sketches
Fixed some bugs in bill of materials creation
Connections are filtered more accurately during insertion
Profiles and parts no longer appear in the list of recently opened files after insertion
Errors with multiple profile cuts have been fixed
The last input made is saved in the dialogs
Multiple connections in different configurations can be inserted at the same time
Error with equal part detection fixed
Position error when inserting end caps fixed
