Updates for SolidSteel parametric, LOGIKAL Interface, DSTV Assistant and AluFrame Assistant

With the release of version 7.0.1 for SolidSteel parametric, version 1.0.1 for LOGIKAL Interface and version 5.0.1 for both the DSTV Assistant and AluFrame Assistant, our Apps for SOLIDWORKS have been enhanced with functional improvements and expanded capabilities.

New features in detail

Changelog SolidSteel parametric v7.0.1

In our latest update for SolidSteel parametric, we have addressed several issues and implemented significant improvements to enhance your workflow.

General improvements:

Imperial profile templates were previously only used if the database was set to the corresponding template folder. It is now possible to automatically adjust the unit system (mm/inch) using a checkbox.
Facades: Missing facade templates have been integrated.
Drawing Assistant:

Errors with bent profiles in welded assemblies have been fixed.
Steps and fasteners are now specified in parts lists.

Warning when welded assemblies are moved by hand..
ToDo-Manager: Color coding revised. The same error level is highlighted in the same color.
SDNF-Export: Timestamp corrected.
PDM identical parts recognition revised – it is possible to continue working after performing PDM identical parts recognition.

Railing:

PMP revised:

Previously, the function was confirmed by pressing “Enter,” even if the parameters were incomplete.
Vertical alignment for side-mounted railings is now based on the top direction of an assembly.
Examples are automatically added to the database during installation.

Templates are stored in individual subfolders.
Equations can be set directly when inserting.

Stairs:

If sheet metal stringers are used for stairs, cutting is no longer possible after the stringers have been merged. Corresponding messages and an option for subsequent merging have been added.

Cuts:

The face cut entries (gap/right angle) are now saved for future reference.

Connections:

Ribs:

Pattern support for ribs improved, edge references are now resolved correctly.
Adjustment of the reference diagnosis PMP for ribs.

Clip angle connections / double clip angle connections:

The system now compensates for placement errors in special installation situations.
Any placement errors that occur after updates are intercepted.

Bolted connections:

Errors in standard tables for nuts corrected.

Haunches:

Fixed bug in imperial assemblies: Chamfer was specified in millimeters.

End plates:

Optional symmetrical dimensioning of the hole rows now possible.
