Updates for SolidSteel parametric and DSTV Assistant

With the release of version 2.1.3 for SolidSteel parametric and version 1.1.3-beta for the DSTV Assistant, our Apps for Autodesk Inventor have been enhanced with functional improvements and expanded capabilities.

DSTV Assistant (important):
With the new version we have fixed an issue that in certain cases could prevent Inventor from starting. We have already contacted affected users directly, but if you downloaded the DSTV Assistant in the last few days but haven't installed it yet, please download and install the latest version.

Enhancements

Gussets now filter out bolts in the preview that cannot be placed.
Added a settings page for stairs.
Standard part database creation has been improved.
The metadata dialog now closes after completion.
Changes in sketches now also trigger stair updates.
Beam selection now orders beam sizes correctly.
If a face cut is not possible, the system will automatically test the inverted cut.
Added a check to ensure that parts used for previews exist in the assembly.
The settings window is now resizable.

End plates: hole propagation is now active by default and works within a configurable distance.
The "Learn Railings" function now only displays angle and length, which are no longer editable.
Added additional checks to ensure required directories are created correctly.
Added an option to split stair stringers into three parts.
Custom connections now support user-defined templates.
Database creation now provides feedback upon completion.
Added a preview when changing manual bolting.

Bug Fixes

Cope cuts now display a message if they cannot be created.
Base plates are now correctly placed after an update.
Base plates no longer freeze Inventor when selecting a face for the first time.
Several tolerance settings were not displayed correctly in the settings.
Beam selection filtering by standards now works correctly.
The help button in the renaming dialog now opens the correct documentation page.

Bug Fixes

Critical startup error fixed
Dimensions from pipes are now correctly read from the database.
Miter angles are now correctly written to the NC files.
Trying to find an invisible part with the DSTV Assistant no longer causes errors.
The window manager now has improved error management.
