Using the latest version of SolidSteel parametric for SOLIDWORKS stairs and handrails can be designed automatically with comfortable menus instead of and manual design process.
The manual design of stairs and handrails with SOLIDWORKS is a time consuming and exhausting work. Until now SolidSteel parametric for SOLIDWORKS supported the necessary design steps with useful functions like the miter cut.
In the latest version of SolidSteel parametric, stairs and handrails can be designed and added to the assembly automatically and with comfortable menus. The software automatically adds all necessary profiles, creates the cutting features, and places all needed standard parts like stair steps and bolt connections. Of cause all the created parts are native SOLIDWORKS parts and the design is full parametric and follows changes after recalculation.
Design of stairs
You can find industrial stairs in many different designs. Whether they are in classic structural steel design or in plant or mechanical engineering. The design of those industrial stairs gets super easy with SolidSteel parametric for SOLIDWORKS. To create a new stair, just the start and the end point of the stair needs to be selected in the 3D model.
In comfortable menus the stair can be configured individually. Therefor comprehensive libraries of profiles and stair steps are available.
In addition stair landing platforms can be added at the start and the endpoint of the stair. Even 180° or 360° staircases can be designed fast and efficient.
All created parts are usual SOLIDWORKS parts. So after the design you can go on with all the other functions of SolidSteel parametric like the automated export of shop drawings or the export of bills of material.
