Lattice XVL Enjoy smaller CAD files

With XVL you reduce your 3D CAD data!

Use the XVL format to optimally prepare your Siemens NX 3D CAD data for further graphically supported processes.

In most cases, the 3D CAD data are data that are poorly or only partially usable for further processing due to the manufacturer-specific format definition and also because of the sometimes huge amounts of data for further processing. The XVL format is an extremely compressed data format with a data volume that is up to 100 times smaller than the original format. Due to the small file sizes, it is also possible to provide large 3D models, e.g. for viewing via email or the Internet, without any problems.

With the Siemens NX XVL Converter you can save your 3D models directly from Siemens NX in XVL format. The XVL converter is integrated in Siemens NX and can be selected as the desired output format in the normal save dialog.

Free XVL Player

Various free and cross-platform options are available for loading and viewing the XVL files.

Use the free XVL Player under Windows. The XVL Player is designed as a plug-in for Internet Explorer and can either display XVL files directly or Web documents with embedded XVL files. Alternatively, there is also the 3D Reporter Viewer for displaying XVL data in Excel documents.

For mobile use, iXVL View and iXVL Player are two free viewers with different functions for iPhone and iPad. Both solutions can be downloaded from the Apple App Store.

XVL is the basis for further processes

In the simplest case, you use the XVL format to make your 3D CAD data available for viewing. Corresponding free viewers are available for Windows PC, iPad and iPhone. With the optionally available Signer you can control the access options to the XVL files. For example, the measuring functions can be switched off, access can be limited in time or access can only be permitted with a password, everything is very easy and extremely secure!

If you want to prevent detailed insight into your 3D models, simply use the reducer, which is also available as an option. With this tool you remove all unwanted parts and information and in extreme cases only get the visible shell of your model.
