With the DSTV Assistant for SOLIDWORKS you can export the DSTV NC data directly from SOLIDWORKS and do not need any external programs. Of course, the finished NC data can also be assigned directly to the project in the PDM system.
The direct connection between the construction and the NC data export enables the processes in work preparation to be streamlined. With the DSTV Assistant for SOLIDWORKS you save a lot of time and money, because no steel components have to be reconstructed in other programs or because you have to commission a service for the conversion of the NC. You also avoid expensive mistakes if the DSTV NC no longer has to be programmed manually and expensive material may be processed incorrectly.
The DSTV Assistant automatically checks all parts in the assembly to determine whether they are steel profiles or sheet metal parts. It does not matter whether the assembly comes from SOLIDWORKS weldments, SOLIDWORKS Structure System or SolidSteel parametric. Of course, the same parts are combined directly in this process and the required number of components is written to the head of the NC file. After all parts have been recognized, all that remains is to assign a storage location and an order number and the DSTV NC data is exported within a few seconds. Optionally, the files can also be saved directly into your PDM system. The names of the files are created according to your specifications and you can forward the data directly to production.
The DSTV Assistant offers ideal possibilities to optimize the internal process chain of your company. For example, the gap between design department and work preparation department is closed. Purchasing can also be integrated directly via an intelligent link between SOLIDWORKS PDM and your existing ERP system.
