The STAHL 2000 Launcher

The Launcher is the new, central element of the entire STAHL 2000 Structural Analysis Suite and is included in every program package.
The Launcher recognizes the installed program modules, which can be started directly from here.
This way, all threads come together in one central place, both in terms of the organization of your installed programs and global settings such as the management of licenses, updates, language settings, remote maintenance and libraries.

The options menu offers you quick and clear basic settings for language, color scheme, icon size, sorting of programs, autostart and automatic updates.

The launcher offers the possibility to arrange the application icons as desired. For example, it is possible to group certain applications or arrange them according to frequency of use.
If applications are hidden by changing the window size, arrow icons appear at the corresponding window border. By clicking on the arrow icons or turning the mouse wheel, hidden applications can be displayed again.

Symbols in the program icons provide direct and clear information, e.g. whether updates are available or whether there are problems with password verification.

An update is available

The password is no longer valid

In the new update and license management, you get an overview of the status of your installed STAHL 2000 applications.

Checking whether updates for your applications are available online is done every time you start the launcher, unless this has been disabled.

If an available update is found, you will be notified when you start the launcher.

In the menu Updates / Licenses you can download and install the available updates. All you need to do is click on the corresponding update icon.

If your password for the currently installed version is no longer valid, you can request a new password by clicking on the key icon. A click on the key icon adds the application to the list of passwords to be requested.
Several programs can be marked for the password request, the request can then be started with a click on the button "Make password request".

The new, central profile database simplifies your work in all STAHL 2000 programs.

Here you can view the profile data used and also add and edit your own profiles.
To create a new profile, you can select an existing profile and copy its values and then edit it by using the "New from selection" button.
Using the "New" button, you create an empty profile and its geometrical and static values must be filled in completely.
It should be noted that you assign unique names to new profiles, which do not appear in the list of standard profiles provided. Only user-created profile data can be edited.

The STAHL 2000 Launcher offers you the management of a central profile database

In the menu item Output you can adjust settings for the appearance of the calculation outputs of the STAHL 2000 programs.

The appearance of the calculation output is now also set centrally via the Output options menu item in the STAHL 2000 Launcher.

Here you have influence on the title lines with company name and address and can also determine the font size and analogously the size of the graphics.

The new file system - discontinuation of the previous user/order administration

The previous user and order management was admittedly somewhat complicated. In the old order management system, folder structures were created internally in the program where you could store your items. With the new system, you have full control as to which folders you want to store your calculation entries in. Therefore, you will be pleased to know that the new system is completely straightforward and follows a logic that is easy to internalize.

If you have made entries and want to save them, a Windows save dialog opens after clicking on the save button. Here you can create folder structures and save the entries with any file name. The save dialog always selects the folder that was used last to save the file.

After saving, information about the currently loaded file and the folder in which it is located appears in the title bar of the STAHL 2000 program. If a file is loaded, this information also appears.

The STAHL 2000 applications interpret the selected folder for the files as "Order folder" and the selected file name as "Position", these two pieces of information are displayed in the header line of the calculation output (marked in color in the picture).
We therefore recommend that you name the folders and position names clearly in order to create an order structure.

If you want to save changes to your entries in an already existing file, a click on the save button is sufficient. The current position will then be overwritten without opening a save dialog again.

If you want to create a new file, you can select the sub-item "Save as" in the pull-down menu "File". A save dialog box opens again and the current position can be saved under a different name in a folder of your choice. Similarly, the "Load" button opens a dialog box from which files that have already been saved can be loaded.

The new STAHL 2000 file system automatically interprets job names and positions based on folder and file names.

Output of calculations in common formats

STAHL 2000 has also become more flexible in terms of calculation output in the new version.

You can of course print out the calculations or save them as a PDF.

If changes or personal comments have to be added, you have the option of importing the results into Microsoft Word at the click of a button and editing them there.
