Thanks to clearly arranged tabs, you only need to enter the key data for the frame. These are e.g:


  • geometric values such as width, height

  • roof pitch or load specifications such as snow load zone

  • height above sea level or the wind load zone

  • and, of course, the estimated profiles for the column, cross-frame member and frame corner.

In conventional framework programs, the definition of the structural system is an elementary part of the calculation.

This includes the conversion of the known external dimensions to the system axes, the definition of suitable intermediate nodes at design-relevant points, e.g. in the area of the frame corner, the assignment of profile cross-section values to the system members.

All this time-consuming work is a thing of the past with Mono Pitch Roof Frame EC. Essentially, you only need to enter the main dimensions of the frame that you already know, such as:

  • e.g. the overall width

  • the frame height

  • or the roof pitch.

In addition, you only need to select the estimated profiles for the columns, the cross beam and the frame corner, either as rolled profiles or as I-shaped welded profiles.

From these values, Mono Pitch Roof Frame EC automatically generates the structural system for the calculation - including all node and member definitions, the supports and the assignment of appropriate cross-section values.

Load cases & load case combinations

As with the structural system, the generation of load cases for the calculation of the monopitch roof frame is largely automatic.
Your task:

Enter the dead load of the roof structure, the snow load zone and the height above sea level. You also select the wind zone. Mono Pitch Roof Frame EC does all the rest for you!

The software automatically generates all necessary individual load cases and load combinations for the 2nd order theory calculation.

For these load combinations, stability checks are also performed for the columns and cross-frame members.

For cross-frame members, different variants of torsional elastic supports can be considered, e.g. by trapezoidal plates, bracings or purlins.

All necessary auxiliary values such as safety coefficients, reduction factors, shear stiffness values, etc. are automatically determined and included in the calculations!
